Hey Daryl,

Hey, I am still listening! and No you did not upset me :-)

You can use whatever reasoning you like to justify your smoking... I understand how smokers do That!

One day, you will convert and then you will understand what I feel!

Looking forward to show #50 - hope you get there one day :-)

Wait, wait, I am not justifying my smoking I know it is bad. And am not saying that I should be able to smoke anywhere. I just want a choice, non smoking and smoking bars. Fine take it out of coffee shops and the like, but leave a couple of places and let the owners decide. I think that the non smoking bylaws have been based on incomplete information and spin. You as a non smoke should have the right to not be exposed to smoke, I as a smoke should have the right to have somewhere to smoke.

Show 50 will be up on Monday March 13th.

But then there is a problem for those who don't have a choice - like the person serving you...

Come to Quebec - you can smoke almost everywhere (even if it says no smoking) Some law is supposed to pass in May for no smoking anywhere - Ha, we'll see how the Quebecers deal with that :-)

The only safe place is in my own house.

I think that a business should be allowed to install a "smoking room". There are some here but they will be illegal in a year or so. I can get my beer and go to the smoking room and the servive does not have to be exposed. The business could even charge a "cover" charge for the room to cover the cost of installing it. Everybody wins.

The other option is to make it illegal to smoke but the know there spin is not stronge enough to get that through.

At first, I thought your suggestion for a "smoking room" was a good one. This would protect the server, but what about the cleaning staff? Or other staff that may need to work in that room?
